Design for All storybook
The 4 Reading set of books, recommended by the Portuguese Reading Plan, aims at enabling reading accessible to all children while being the first editorial project lying on the Design for All concept. Each title of this set is made available in four different formats: print, Portuguese Sign Language, Pictographic Symbols for Communication, and Braille.
The DVD inserted in the book contains, besides the story in those accessible formats, educational content destined to broaden children knowledge on the themes suggested by each story.
Sir Lion and Dame Cockatoo, original story and the third book of the set, is authored by Manuela Micaelo and illustrated by Raquel Pinheiro, tells about a lion that wanted to teach a cockatoo how to speak.
Partnering with CERCICA (CERCI from Cascais), Vodafone Foundation entirely funded the edition of this book.
