Ciberdúvidas
Portuguese language and culture dissemination on the internet
For those looking for answers to any type of query about the art of good writing – spelling, syntax or phonetics – as well as a set of information and debate programmes about the Portuguese Language, two newspaper reporters, João Carreira Bom (deceased) and José Mário Costa created this project on the Internet, in January 1987, unique in all the Portuguese speaking countries: Ciberdúvidas da Língua Portuguesa.

With support from the Vodafone Portugal Foundation, which already invested more than 125,000 Euros, the specialists and consultants rapidly and efficiently answer any question put to them by users. In 2006, this portal originated ‘Páginas de Português’, a weekly radio programme broadcast on Sundays on Antena 2 of Portuguese Radio (RDP). RTP Africa has adopted the format and broadcasts a similar weekly programme, ‘Língua de Todos’, to the five Portuguese speaking African Nations. A third programme, ‘O Jogo de Língua’, is broadcasted from Monday to Friday on Antena 1. Ciberdúvidas also performs consultation to the programme “Cuidado com a Língua!”, broadcasted on RTP1 and other public Portuguese TV channels.
