Long Live the River
Raise awareness of the importance of preserving the River Formosa’s natural richness’s and traditional activities
Launched in the summer of 2006 in partnership with the League for the Protection of Nature (LPN), Santa Luzia Parish Council (Tavira Municipality) and the company A Vida é Bela, the aim of this programme was to promote environmental awareness and education to children, young people and adults through fun and educational activities. The programme aimed particularly to raise awareness of the importance of preserving the River Formosa’s natural richness’s and traditional activities through workshops and free boat trips led by biologists.
