Reforestation in Nisa
Reforest one of the areas worst hit by forest fires in 2003
To help reforest the Nisa region in the Alentejo, one of the areas worst hit by the wave of forest fires in 2003, the Vodafone Portugal Foundation donated around 10,000 trees – oaks, cork oaks and holm oaks.
In September 2005, Vodafone employees worked as volunteers to replant part of the fifteen burnt hectares. The project involved an investment of 50,000 euros.
