Spring Tide
Providing assistance on first aid, lifeguarding, cleaning and maintaining the beaches
The Vodafone Portugal Foundation sponsored for 4 years the Spring Tide programme organised by Cascais Municipal Council, which involves hundreds of the municipality’s young people in volunteering activities. The initiative takes place every day on all of Cascais’s beaches. The activities include providing assistance to holidaymakers, particularly giving first aid, lifeguarding, cleaning and maintaining the beaches, and raising beach users’ awareness of environmental issues.
