We support the training and qualification of people and the development of technological projects in close co-operation with the users of the resulting products or services, drawing on the widest range of national skills and knowledge at our command.
We are committed to promoting widespread access to the Information Society by all strata of the community in which we operate.

The following are some examples:

  • Screen Reader for PCs
         -  'Hal' Screen Reader by Dolphin Computer Access, integrated with the 'Realspeak ?
             European Portuguese' Voice Synthesiser by Scansoft, operating in MS Windows
             (Supported by the Vodafone Portugal Foundation)
  • Blood Donor SMS
        - Service for calling up blood donors registered with the Portuguese Blood Institute.
          Pilot project operating at the Oporto Regional Blood Centre.

  • Basic Training in Information Technologies
        - Support for organisations promoting basic training programmes in Information
          Technologies for people with special needs. (Supported by the Vodafone Portugal
          Foundation)
        - Support is currently being provided to Cerci in Lisbon and to the Luz Mater
          Association in conjunction with Sintra Municipal Council. (Supported by the
          Vodafone Portugal Foundation)

  • Training and qualification in new technologies
        - Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems
        - Postgraduate Diploma in Telecommunications Law
        - Postgraduate Diploma in Telecommunications and Multimedia Management
