Lisbon, 16 December 1997 – Telecel reinforced its coverage in Centro Comercial Anadia in Funchal, with the installation of a new amplifier having as a result an increased capacity and quality of the calls in that place.

This year Telecel has not only been expanding its network, but it has also been carrying on an intense reinforcement of its coverage inside buildings, namely in the larger shopping centers.

With the functioning of the Digital Switch in Madeira a deep change in the architecture of the cellular network was observed, improving the feasibility and quality of its communications and guaranteeing a larger capacity as well as a faster expansion of its covered area.
