Whitney Houston will sing the next 4th July at José Alvalade stadium, with exclusive sponsorship of Telecel.

This is the american soul singer’s first performance in Portugal. For the occasion, José Alvalade stadium will be prepared with seated places on the lawn, in addition to the standing places.

Whitney Houston has become world-widely known when she sang the American hymn at the Opening of Los Angeles Olympic Games. Descending from a soul singer’s family, she is Cissy Houston’s daughter and Dionne Warwick’s cousin.

Her career as a singer is also related with the movies industry, where she played several roles starring in “The Body-Guard”, with Kevin Costner, and in “The Preacher’s Wife” with Denzel Washington – movies where she also sung the soundtrack.
