As of next month of August, Telecel will cover the areas of Capelas (São Miguel), Biscoitos (Terceira), Castelo Branco (Faial) and Lajes do Pico (Pico).

Since the beginning of this year, Telecel has been expanding and reinforcing its coverage in the archipelago of Azores. During the months of June and July, it has been possible to use Telecel network in the area of Vila do Porto, in Santa Maria, besides other areas that can now also benefit from Telecel coverage, such as Arrifes, Povoação, Água de Pau, Furnas and Vila Franca do Campo, in the Island of São Miguel, and São Sebastião in the Island of Terceira, thus reinforcing coverage in the Southeast Coast of the island.

Telecel network in the Azores started its operations in 1997 covering a great part of the Islands of São Miguel and Terceira and also the areas of Horta, in Faial and Madalena, in Pico.

These new developments in Telecel coverage, represent the company focus in maintaining its differentiation through the high quality of its network, covering 100% of the Portuguese population in the mainland and in the Autonomous Regions of Azores and Madeira.
