Telecel cuts Vitamina T and Vitamina R call charges
Lisbon, 24 November 2000 Telecel has cut the prices of Vitamina T and Vitamina R calls for almost all tariff periods.
Vitamina T calls to the Telecel network have been reduced from 52 escudos (0.26 euros) to 50 escudos (0.25 euros) per minute on peak hours (work days from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.), and from 36 escudos (0.18 euros) to 30 escudos (0.15 euros) per minute on off peak hours (work days from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.).
For calls to other networks, the charge per minute on peak hours has been reduced from 114 escudos (0.57 euros) to 95 escudos (0.47 euros), on off peak hours from 78 escudos (0.39 euros) to 75 escudos (0.37 euros), and at weekends and on public holidays from 36 escudos (0.18 euros) to 35 escudos (0.17 euros).
Telecel has also simplified the Vitamina R tariffs. It is now possible to call any network in the evenings or at weekends for 25 escudos (0.12 euros) per minute, which represents a reduction of up to 30%. There will no longer be differences in tariffs between Vitamina R and other Telecel phones.
Simultaneously, Telecel is re-launching its Vitamina K, the first cellular phone for children and adolescents, under the slogan “My First Vitamina”. The features of the Vitamina K include no compulsory charges, a single tariff of 58 escudos (0.29 euros) per minute at any time to any network, and the option to restrict calls to only six pre-programmed numbers – which can be reprogrammed at any time – while still receiving calls from any phone. In this way, parents are able to control calls and costs while at the same time ensuring that their children are safe and able to be contacted at any moment.
Note: Values include VAT.
