Lisbon, 1 June 2000 – From 10 June 2000, Telecel will be broadcasting all sport information related to the European Football Championship Euro 2000, which is being held in Belgium and Holland.

This information reaches Telecel’s Customers through Short Message Service (SMS), using the “netc mobile” news service and through Telecel’s WAP Service. The “netc” portal will also publish Euro 2000 information.

This information service, provided by Telecel, offers the latest news on the Portuguese team, sport news from Euro 2000, on-line match results and score tables for each group. It is also possible to obtain information on all teams involved in the tournament, the stadiums where the matches take place, TV broadcasts and other queries on the Championship.

To activate the News Services and get all the information on any handset through SMS you just need to go to the site www.telecel.pt/telecel/home.xml and choose “netc” as the source of information, activate the preferred channels and select how often you want to receive the alerts. The News Services can also be activated using the “netc” portal or through the service “1848 – Information on News Services”.

To access the information through Telecel’s WAP Service all you need is to be a Telecel customer with a WAP enabled handset. The information on Euro 2000 will be under the sport menu on the WAP portal.
