Telecel Vodafone launches integrated Voice and Data solution
Lisbon, 18 July 2001 Telecel Vodafone has launched the NexiData an Integrated Voice and Data Networks service. This is a solution that enables companies to connect several different work sites (head office, branches, remote workstations as well as partners and suppliers) through a Data and Voice Virtual Private Network (VPN).
Using the Telecel Vodafone IP MPLS network, this service provides companies with an alternative to traditional point-to-point dedicated lines with their inherent high costs and inflexible networks. The service provides the same functions of a dedicated network but at a lower cost.
The NexiData solution is based on a private and secure IP environment, allowing the integration of data, Internet and voice services for the Company, both from the mobile network and the fixed network. It is a flexible solution able to be scaled according to the customer’s needs, which may be complemented with equipment more suited to the service.
