Telecel Vodafone – New information service especially designed for tourists
Lisbon, 8 August 2001 Telecel Vodafone launched yesterday a new service in Portugal designed to meet the needs of national and foreign tourists. The service is called ‘Smart Traveller’ 12 7 24 and is available both to Portuguese customers and to roaming customers visiting Portugal, 365 days a year.
Available on Telecel Vodafone network, all that customers need to do to access the service is call 12 7 24, at any hour of the day and from any place. The customer, who is answered personally in Portuguese, English, French, Spanish or German, can obtain assistance such as making bookings at restaurants, hotels, car rental companies or cinemas; check in for flights; find out about tourist information and places to visit; and obtain information about museums, concerts and theatre performances, among other things. Other services include information on roads conditions, routes and duty chemists.
The tariff for this service is the tariff applicable to calls to the Telecel Vodafone network, plus a supplementary charge of 150 escudos (0.75 euros) on the first minute.
Prices are subject to VAT at the applicable rate.
