Lisbon, 28 June 2002 – Thanks to the joint sponsorship of B.P., Barclays, GlaxoSmithKline,
Tejo Energia and Vodafone, in co-operation with the British Embassy and the
Abraço Association, 100 children, all AIDS virus carriers or affected
by symptoms of the disease, will have a different holiday this year.

Accompanied by monitors and in comfortable and safe conditions, the children
will benefit from a holiday camp held from 1 to 12 July on land belonging to
the Companhia das Lezírias at Porto Alto.

The aim of this initiative is to provide these children with an “unforgettable
holiday”, which will assist in their rehabilitation and in raising their
self-esteem through tangible experiences of trust and friendship. To contribute
to the success of the initiative, employees of the five companies, accompanied
by their children, will voluntarily join in the holiday camp’s daily activities.
