Lisbon, 14 November 2006 In the six months ended on 30 September 2006, Vodafone was the only operator in Portugal both to grow its customer base and to increase service revenues in relation to the same period last year.
In spite of the reductions in interconnection charges, Vodafone Portugal saw its service revenues grow by 5% in the first six months of its financial year from the same period last year, to 627 million euros, corresponding to a market share of service revenues of 39%, a gain of 2 p.p. in the past year.
