Vodafone Portugal offers roaming on the networks of 365 operators throughout the world
Lisbon, 24 July 2006 – Vodafone Portugal customers are currently able to use their phones on the networks of 365 mobile telecommunications operators in 181 countries and autonomous territories on all continents.
Customers who own 3G phones can already use them abroad on the networks of 33 operators in 28 countries. In addition, the 3.5G/HSDPA roaming service is already available in the following countries: Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy and South Africa. For customers who make GPRS calls, Vodafone has GPRS roaming agreements with 145 operators in 75 countries around the world.
The most recent destinations where it is possible to use the Vodafone Portugal service are: Costa Rica, Laos, Mongolia, Nicaragua and Uzbekistan.
These agreements enable Vodafone to reinforce its leadership position in the total number of roaming agreements, available destinations and services offered.
