Vodafone to give away tickets to Champions League games
Lisbon, 6 September 2006 Starting today, Vodafone will be giving away around 100 tickets to Champions League matches in Portugal featuring FC Porto, Benfica and Sporting. To enter for these tickets, customers simply have to activate the Goals Live Photo or Goals Live Video services on the Vodafone live! portal.
Also as part of its sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League, Vodafone will be hosting the official Champions League website on the Vodafone live! portal from next week.
The site will feature a wide range of content including: the latest news about the competition and the clubs involved, results, classifications and the official calendar of matches, competition statistics, official ringtones and photos, the UEFA Champions League channel for Mobile TV and a variety of video content (available only for 3G phones).
In the Videos area, Vodafone customers will be able to see all the goals scored during the competition, summaries of the best moments in the competition, the best game in each week, the 5 best goals of the week, as well as other things.
Vodafone will also be providing other services reporting the matches of the Portuguese teams in the competition on the Football channel of the Vodafone live! portal: Live Matches, Goals Live (SMS, Photo and Video) and MMS Matches Summary.
In addition to being the official sponsor of the UEFA Champions League for the next 3 years, Vodafone is also the official mobile network for the competition, consolidating its long association with football and soccer fans at world level.
