Lisbon, 17 December 2007 – Vodafone has just launched its Online Manuals service in mobile version. This innovative service, unique in Portugal, enables Vodafone customers to consult the manual for their handset directly from their own mobile phone. They can view all the information about its use and step-by-step instructions, as well as illustrations of the menus and the phone’s keypad, in an intuitive and interactive way.

To access this service free of charge, users simply need to type the address http://manuaisonline.vodafone.pt into their phone’s browser or send a text message to 16912 containing the word ‘Manuais’ and the link will be sent immediately by MMS to their phone.

Vodafone Portugal launched the Online Manuals service at the beginning of this year and is now making the mobile version available for 31 handsets, covering 1.3 million customers. The list of compatible phones will be progressively extended to include new models.

If the phone is not compatible with the technology or does not support MMS, the user is sent an SMS to say that the manual is available on the Ajuda e Contactos channel at www.vodafone.pt. On this page there is also the option to request the phone instructions to be sent by e-mail.
