Lisbon, 17 November 2008 Vodafone today announced the introduction of new speeds and larger volumes of included data with Mobile Broadband postpaid plans.
Maximum speeds for customers on the existing 512 Kbps broadband plan will double to 1.0 Mbps. Speeds under the 1.0 Mbps broadband plan will also double, to 2.0 Mbps, and with the 3.6 Mbps plan, the speed will increase to 4.0 Mbps. In addition, the 2.0 Mbps plan will now include 3 GB of traffic instead of 2 GB.
Broadband plans over the mobile network designed for home use Vodafone Casa T1 Net will undergo identical changes in the 1.0 Mbps and 3.6 Mbps plans which will increase to 2.0 Mbps and 4.0 Mbps respectively. The volume of traffic included in the 2.0 Mbps plan will also increase from 2 GB to 3 GB.
These new conditions are available to both new and existing customers, and will be applied automatically and without any increase in the monthly charge.
These changes are intended to reinforce Vodafone's leadership of the Mobile Broadband Internet access market by offering its customers the best service over the best network at the best price.
