Vodafone gives away the new Dell Mini 9 with subscription to its Mobile Broadband service

Lisbon, 5 December 2008 – Vodafone today launched a promotion giving away the new Dell Mini 9 netbook with built-in 3G broadband card to customers subscribing to its Mobile Broadband service.

With its commitment to providing the Portuguese with access to the latest technologies and to contributing to the information society, Vodafone is now making it possible to purchase simultaneously a latest generation computer and Mobile Broadband Internet access with a saving of €359.90.

To interested customers, Vodafone is offering to reimburse the cost of the Dell Mini 9 over 36 months, which corresponds to a monthly discount of €10 on the Mobile Broadband service, thereby enabling users of the service to acquire the new Dell Mini 9 at no cost.

Apart from the internal 3G card, which permits download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and upload speeds of up to 1.4Mbps, the Dell Mini 9 boasts an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor, an 8 GB SSD hard disk (the latest generation disk, without moving parts, faster, more shock resistant and consuming less energy), 1 GB of RAM, Microsoft Windows XP in Portuguese and a 9” display.
