New Vodafone Contact Centre in Gaia

Lisbon, 20 May 2008 – Vodafone has opened a new Contact Centre in Gaia. Equipped with the latest IP technologies, the Contact Centre will provide customer services by phone, e-mail and chat to Vodafone customers.

The new Contact Centre is a further customer service facility located outside the capital designed to meet the growth requirements of Vodafone’s Customer Care Service. The opening of this Contact Centre is the result of an investment partnership with RHmais, which will be responsible for operating it.

Occupying an area of 750 square metres in the SIKA Building (Rua de Santarém, 113), the Contact Centre currently has around stations but may expand later to 150, creating around 350 new jobs in Gaia municipality.

Vodafone currently has directly managed Contact Centres in Lisbon and Porto and outsourced Centres in Lisbon, Braga, Setúbal and Gaia which use the latest telecommunications technologies and receive around 1 million calls a month. In October this year, a further Contact Centre is planned to open in Covilhã.
