Vodafone provides higher speeds for Mobile Broadband

Lisbon, 13 March 2009 – Vodafone today announced new data transmission speeds for Mobile Broadband plans.

Maximum speeds for customers on the existing 1.0 Mbps broadband plan will double to 2.0 Mbps. On the 2.0 Mbps broadband plan the speed will increase to 3.6 Mbps and on the 4.0 Mbps plan it will increase to 5.0 Mbps.

Meanwhile, the ‘Broadband for €0’ promotion (cost of Mobile Broadband handset reimbursed over 24 months) and the Unlimited Traffic promotion (free Happy Hour for 12 months) have been extended for activations up to 30 April 2009.

The broadband over mobile network plans for home use – Vodafone Casa T1 Net – also see their speeds increase.

These new terms are available to both new and existing business or individual customers (including beneficiaries of the e-Escola and e-Escolinha programmes) and will be updated automatically.

These changes are intended to reinforce Vodafone’s leadership of the Mobile Broadband Internet access market by offering its customers the best service over the best network at the best price.
