Vodafone awarded Marketeer prize and Advertiser of the Year prize by the Clube de Criativos
Lisbon, 17 May 2010 Vodafone won the Telecommunications category of the 2010 Marketeer Awards, which distinguish the best work produced in the area of marketing, advertising and communication in Portugal.
The nominations for the categories this year were decided by the Editorial Board and team of the magazine that analysed aspects of the work carried out by Vodafone in 2009, such as product innovation/strategy, growth of market share and the results of the communication initiatives. The final phase involved a vote from the magazine readers, who considered Vodafone the company that stood out most in the Telecommunications sector.
In the 12th Clube de Criativos de Portugal Festival, the final results of which were announced on Friday night, Vodafone received the Advertiser of the Year prize in the Advertising category. The Vodafone Sound Experience cinema campaign was the big winner, which through a creative solution thought up by Vodafone brought a unique sensorial experience to the spectator, using just one of their five senses, placing them inside a story of which they become part. The radio campaigns Vodafone Take-Off Around the World in Festivals and Vodafone Direct Summer were also distinguished in this category.
Vodafone was the company that received the most awards in the different categories, namely in the Media category a Silver trophy for the Best Creative Utilisation/Cinema Space Creation Solution through the Vodafone Sound Experience campaign and a Bronze trophy for the Best Digital Utilisation Media for the pioneering Augmented Reality advertisement that enabled 3D images to be viewed on BlackBerry Storm.
The Vodafone 2008 Annual Report and the Vodafone Building in Porto were distinguished in the Design category. The event held to launch the Vodafone 360 and the Um insólito que brilha no escuro site of the Insólitos Yorn campaign were highlighted in the Relational Marketing and Digital and Interactive Media categories, respectively.
These prizes were awarded by a panel made up of professionals in the market who had been invited by the organisation, as well as past winners from the previous Festivals.
