Mexetape programme on Vodafone FM debuts this week

Lisbon, 22 March 2011 – The new Mexetape programme debuts on Vodafone FM on Thursday 24 March at 10 pm. Mexetape is a weekly feature in which a guest from the world of music chooses the themes to be broadcast based on his or her current musical preferences. Hélio Morais (the drummer of the Paus and Linda Martini) and Márcia will be the first guests on the programme.

Twice a month, Vodafone FM will host a pre-broadcast event in Lisbon or Porto attended by the artists featured in the Mexetapes to be broadcast in the following two weeks.

The pre-broadcast of the first two Mexetapes will take place on Wednesday 23 March at 7 pm at an informal gathering in the Bicaense Cafe in Lisbon, at which Hélio Morais, Márcia and Vodafone FM listeners will be able to relax in an atmosphere conducive to music.

With a running time of one hour, the new Mexetape programme will be broadcast on Vodafone FM on Thursdays at 10 pm and repeated on Saturdays at 6 pm and on Mondays at 11 pm.

As part of Vodafone FM’s philosophy of reflecting its audience’s interests, Mexetape will promote the musical preferences of a wide range of artists and producers connected to what is new and relevant in music at the moment.

On air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the studios of Media Capital Radios, Vodafone FM can be heard on the 107.2 MHz frequency in Greater Lisbon and on 94.3 MHz in Greater Porto and on www.vodafone.fm throughout the world.
