Auditions begin today for new Portuguese bands to perform at Vodafone Mexefest
Auditions begin today for new Portuguese bands (those with no released disc) to perform at the Vodafone Mexefest music festival. The auditions run until 28 October. Bands wishing to take part must register online at www.vodafonemexefest.com and upload a video to YouTube of them performing live or in a recording studio.
With this initiative Vodafone is offering the stage to bands who have not yet had their first break. A jury consisting of Joaquim Albergaria, Joaquim Quadros, Tó Trips and Luís Montez will select a short list of 15 bands chosen for their originality, technical performing ability and musical alignment with the Festival and Vodafone FM Radio.
From these 15 bands, 10 will be chosen for online voting by the public at www.facebook.com/vodafonemusica . The 8 bands with the most votes will get the chance to perform during the afternoons of 7 and 8 December at Vodafone Mexefest.
