Vodafone Portugal launches app that lets users make purchases from their TV set

The first Virtual TV Shopping solution in the world is available from today on Vodafone Portugal's television service. YuBuy, launched exclusively today by Vodafone Portugal, is an innovative e-commerce application that enables users to purchase products and services directly on TV with just a few clicks on the remote control.

This application enables customers of Vodafone’s TV service to access a platform from their TV set which features catalogues of offers from companies with an extensive presence in Portugal and to order any of the products and services on offer immediately, conveniently and securely.

At present customers can order, for example, Telepizza pizzas, takeaway meals from ‘No Menu’ or ‘Odisseias’ breaks and experiences. Expansion to other partners is planned shortly.

This application is free to all customers of Vodafone Portugal’s television service and is accessible from the blue button on the remote control (StartApps application menu on the TV).

This pioneering launch in Portugal reinforces Vodafone’s leadership in innovation in television services in Portugal.
