Vodafone Mobile Data Challenge

Opportunity for talented young university students

Applications are being invited for the Vodafone Mobile Data Challenge – a technology competition aimed at talented university students intended to encourage young entrepreneurs.

Under this initiative, university Technology students are invited to submit innovative projects in one of the following categories: eMoney, Mobile Office Experience, LTE Service Enablers, Green Approach, eHealth, Intelligent Media and Advertising, Wi-Fi Ad Mobile, M2M and Cloud Computing.

Candidates should focus on researching the technical aspects of their chosen topic and demonstrate their creativity in the design of an application or service useful to the community. Those interested in participating in this third edition of the competition should register before 21 April.

The final stage of the competition will take place on 7 May at Vodafone Portugal’s Head Office at Parque das Nações in Lisbon, where participants will present their projects to a judging panel composed of senior Vodafone managers.

As well as being a competition that encourages links between the academic community and the business world, it is also a gateway to Discover Vodafone Graduates – a Vodafone recruitment programme to attract and retain young people with high potential to work for Vodafone and for the Vodafone Labs Lisbon incubator, which will help to put the best designs on the market.

The applications are featured on LinkedIn and Vodafone Portugal’s website.
