Vodafone launches new television experience with first in the world service
Designed from the ground up to provide the best television experience, the new graphical user interface (TV 2.0) is very attractive visually, with unique experiences in terms of accessing content but at the same time very simple to use.
Also from today, the Live On TV service is available on Vodafone’s television service – exclusively and for the first time in the world – enabling users to broadcast live on television everything they film with the camera of their smartphone or tablet. The new app enables footage to be viewed live on the user’s television or those of their friends who have the Vodafone television service.
Vodafone has also improved interactivity with television channels – for the first time it is now possible, with a simple click on the red button on the remote control of the TV box, to interact directly on television with the Facebook page of the channel being viewed.
Other features include new TV apps with an improved experience (Twitter, Facebook and Picasa) and the ability to launch automatic 7-day recordings on high definition channels.
All these innovative features were developed in Portugal, which is already an innovation benchmark for television services in the Vodafone Group.
Vodafone has also expanded its programming with the inclusion of a further eight television channels (M6, VOX, RTL, Super RTL, Record HD, Caça e Pesca, Toros and BBC Entertainment), and now has over 160 channels and 35 HD (high definition) channels.
Vodafone TV Net Voz has been recognised by several surveys, including the Marktest Telecommunications Barometer, as the service with the best customer satisfaction ratings, as well as having the most competitive price in the Portuguese market: €24.90/month guaranteed for 2 years. According to ANACOM figures, Vodafone is the operator with the fastest growing television service in Portugal, recognition of the significant investment it has made in its television service.
