inviita is a free app that lets users create itineraries anywhere in the world according to the user’s mood

The first app that enables users to plan itineraries according to their mood – inviita - is now available Available for iPhone, this is the world’s first app on the App Store that can be searched by emojis, the new way to express emotions.

The aim of the app is to simplify decisions about what to do in a city, depending on the user’s mood. It can be used when travelling but also to discover new places in the city itself.

In inviita the user sets their mood and the app automatically creates itineraries with a range of suggestions. These itineraries can also be customised by users, who simply drag and drop it to the timeline, and can remove and add new places as they explore the city. Users can also save them to their profile, creating a history of experiences they can review and share whenever they want.

“We do not just offer suggestions based on the location. We offer the user a range of automatically generated experiences and itineraries based on the location but also on the way they feel, making it simple and intuitive. The integration of a social component is the natural next development of the product, so that these experiences can be created individually but also by groups”, says Joana Baptista, founder and CEO of inviita.

Supported by and developed at Vodafone Power Lab, a programme to stimulate innovation and support entrepreneurship, this app was awarded first place in the Entrepreneurship Awards competition, an initiative by the European Commission Representation in Portugal.

This year inviita was also voted one of the 13 most innovative European projects in the tourism sector, with a presence at the Travel Innovation Summit, an event organised by Phocuswright.
