Vodafone and El Corte Inglés launch teleshopping channel

Vodafone, in partnership with El Corte Inglés, today exclusively launched 'yubuy tv', an interactive TV-commerce channel which enables Vodafone customers to buy products in a simple and convenient way via their television.

‘Yubuy tv’ is the only television channel in Portugal exclusively devoted to teleshopping. The broadcasts include 24 hours a day of television programmes that feature products of the El Corte Inglés brand A Loja em Casa and allow customers of Vodafone’s Tv Net Voz to interact with their television to shop in an innovative way, using only the remote control of the Vodafone TV Box.

During the channel’s broadcasts, using the interactive bar, customers can select the categories of products available – Sport, Health & Beauty and Home, and view all the products available for purchase. After selecting the product and payment option, the customer’s order is delivered to the address linked to the account of the television service. Customers can also track the delivery status via automatic notifications (SMS) sent to their phone.

Developed in partnership with El Corte Inglés, the channel that will revolutionise the traditional teleshopping model is available from today at position 400 of the Vodafone TV channel grid or via the Start Apps menu of the Vodafone TV Box. Until the end of July 2016, El Corte Inglés is offering free delivery on all purchases made via the new channel.

After having pioneered the launch of the first TV commerce service in Portugal, Click-to-Buy, in July 2015, Vodafone is once again reinforcing its leadership position in the development and roll-out of innovative services that directly address the real needs of its customers.
