‘Verão de Campeão’, Vodafone Foundation’s Campaign, is back to the beach and in one week has already directly reached 4000 more children. The initiative aims to promote values such as Security, Environment preservation, mutual respect and well-being in the Portuguese beaches all over the country.

This year, Vodafone Foundation’s campaign, which was carried out in partnership with Instituto de Socorros a Náufragos (ISN) will pass through 30 beaches and brings some news that intend to make children’s learning process more dynamic and continuous, even outside the beach. There are contents that can be accessed from anywhere through the scanning of a QR code, which is in the bracelets that are given to the kids who participate in the ‘Verão de Campeão’ campaign.

In order to help sharing the messages regarding Safety, Environment and beach care, the mascot Super Onda is helping Vodafone Foundation and ISN in the communication with children.

Along with an official choreography, the Hymn ‘Verão de Campeão’ is also a new and fun way to teach children some tips about Health, Accessibility and good Environmental practices.

Besides these new features, and in order to address the younger generations, initiatives with different categories of animations are promoted, such as games where some environmental measures to take at the beach or even the use of sunscreen or hat are illustrated, among other educational, simple and fun games that transmit the best way to reach a ‘Verão de Campeão’ (‘Summer of Champion’).

In the last thirteen years, these campaigns of awareness in partnership with ISN have directly reached about 322 thousand children and young people. This year, ‘Verão de Campeão’ will go to Oeiras, Costa da Caparica, Setúbal, Matosinhos, Aveiro and Algarve, among other bathing areas, visiting a different beach almost every day until the 11th of august.
