Telecel in Cape Verde
As of April 12, Telecel Customers can use their mobile phones in Cape Verde, using Cape Verde Telecom cellular network. On a first stage, this service whose coverage will be expanded gradually, will be available in Santiago island (namely in Praia the capital, and in Tarrafal area), in S. Vicente island (in Mindelo city) and in all the island of Sal.
On the other hand, since that same day Telecel roaming service is available in one more spanish cellular network – Retevision Móvil (service name “Amena”), using GSM 1800 system.
Telecel international coverage now includes 107 networks from telecommunications operators from 60 countries.
