Telecel – António Carrapatoso at Europolitan
António Carrapatoso, President of the Board of Directors of Telecel, was assigned last April, non-executive member of the Board of Directors at Europolitan the Swedish mobile operator.
Europolitan started its operations in 1992, being one of three operators in a country where the penetration of the cellular service is one of the highest in the world, representing 46% out of a population of 8.9 million inhabitants. The main stockholders of Europolitan are AirTouch, with 51,1%, and Vodafone, with 20%, being the remaining capital spread in the stock market.
António Carrapatoso was already, since 1997, a non-executive member in the Administration of the Spanish mobile operator AirTel.
