Telecel starts the year 2000 with 150 roaming agreements

Telecel Customers can now use the mobile networks of 150 international telecommunications operators, in 78 countries and regions all over the world.

At the end of last year Telecel signed a roaming agreement with the Sonatel network which operates in Senegal, North Africa. In addition, Telecel’s international coverage was increased in several countries, namely in Switzerland, through an agreement with diAx, and in Russia, with Far Eastern Cellular Systems, which operates in Khabarovsk region.

Telecel has also signed a roaming agreement with Pacific Bell, the American operator, which covers the states of California and Nevada. Telecel Customers can also now use a roaming service in Washington, due to coverage extensions made by Voicestream in this City. With these agreements, Telecel has strengthened its co-operation with most of the GSM 1900 operators in USA, which represent 95% of the network and cover 70% of the North-American population.
