M.A.I., APETRO, ANAREC and TELECEL announce a " Security in Service Stations " Agreement

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Portuguese Association of Petrol Companies (APETRO), the National Association of Fuel Sellers (ANAREC) and Telecel signed an agreement yesterday to focus on reducing crimes committed at service stations. Service stations are often prime targets for criminals due to their location and opening hours.

Under the terms of the agreement, Telecel will supply the communications equipment for interaction between the individual service station and the police headquarters, for use in emergencies.

This system, called “Communication system for the security of service stations”, uses a direct connection, via the Telecel network, between service stations and police headquarters, which allows the immediate identification of the emergency situation by the authorities.
