Telecel Vodafone shops receive Quality Certificate ISO 9002

Lisbon, 25 January 2001 – The Portuguese Certification Association (APCER) has recognised the Quality Control System of the Telecel Vodafone shops with the granting of the Quality Certificate ISO 9002. The Quality Control Certificate was presented yesterday 24 January at midday in a ceremony held at the Company’s head offices.

In 1998 Telecel Vodafone was the first cellular mobile communications operator to have an area of its business certified – its Customer Care Service – a distinction that was later also granted to its Technical Assistance division. The Telecel Vodafone Shops are therefore the third branches of the Company to obtain the quality certificate.

The ISO 9002 norm is a recognised international standard that promotes the establishment of management methodologies in an organisation aimed at guaranteeing the quality of services and products supplied to Customers. The quality norms oblige an efficient organisation of the Company, intensifying the focus on Customer satisfaction and the establishment of self-evaluation mechanisms and continuous improvement.

Telecel Vodafone believes the awarding of the certificate is the culmination of an effort involving all the Employees of its Shops, and many other Company Employees throughout its structure. The Certificate is recognition of Telecel Vodafone’s Quality Policy with regard to its products and services. This is a fundamental attribute of the Company Culture, striving always to offer a better Service.
