Vodafone launches cost separation service for companies

Lisbon, 20 November 2007 – Vodafone has just launched the ‘Cost Separation’ service, enabling companies to offer mobile phones to more employees now that it is possible to separate billed costs between business and personal calls.

Various criteria matched to different business roles and sectors can be used to enable companies to define the calls that they wish to separate between business and personal: a maximum monthly spend per employee, calls made only during office hours, certain types of call (e.g. only national calls) or identifying calls individually irrespective of their nature.

Separation is effected at www.empresas.vodafone.pt after the bill has been issued, and enables companies to settle accounts later with their employees.

The monthly cost of the service is 2 euros per phone number. On a promotional basis, companies that activate the service by 31 March 2008 will be able to use the service free of charge until 31 March 2010.

This service will further enrich Vodafone’s offer for SMEs and, together with the Pack SME price plan, will enable decision makers in small and medium sized companies to control the amounts spent on mobile calls since, in addition to benefiting from free calls between employees, they can now separate other calls into business and personal calls.
