Lisbon, 26 April 2011 – Vodafone Portugal has just launched Vodafone Conferencing – an innovative service that offers simple and effective audio and video web conferencing. This solution is available to any user, enabling them to hold virtual meetings with 240 participants simultaneously using only one telephone access (fixed or mobile) and an Internet connection.

Vodafone Conferencing makes it possible to hold meetings simultaneously involving participants in widely separated geographical locations, thereby minimising the environmental impact and reducing time and money spent on travel and accommodation. The service does not require the installation of any additional software and has no subscription or monthly charges. The user, who could even be in another country, pays only the cost of the telephone call for the service.

This interactive conferencing solution, which is available 24 hours a day, allows easy sharing of information and files remotely and in real time, with the possibility of direct editing by any participant.

The various features available at no additional cost in Vodafone Conferencing include the sharing of files, graphics and videos or even an entire desktop in meetings; a chat function for the discreet sharing of ideas; the visualisation of concepts within a working group using drawing and text tools; the use of mind maps to share and develop ideas; and the creation of interactive polls with results presented live and anonymously.

Although registering in the conference is not mandatory, users who do so at http://conferencing.vodafone.pt receive exclusive additional features such as meetings scheduling and management and filing, using their email client.

For corporate and professional customers, Vodafone Conferencing offers enhanced proximity to their network of contacts (customers, employees, suppliers, partners, etc) without place or time restrictions, and with an obvious impact on increased productivity in this segment.
