Vodafone launches innovative TV commerce service

Vodafone today launched Click-to-Buy, a pioneering “T-Commerce” project – shopping via television – that enables Vodafone television customers to purchase goods and services in a simple, convenient and relevant way from their television.

Developed in partnership with yubuy®, the Click-to-Buy solution enables users to purchase products in real time, simply and intuitively, directly on their television set.Via a message on the screen with a brief presentation of a product related to the channel and programme they are watching at the moment, Vodafone customers can decide to purchase it from the comfort of their sofa, with just a few clicks on the television’s remote control.

Associated with this launch, thanks to a partnership between Vodafone and Benfica TV (BTV), starting today Vodafone is exclusively offering the opportunity to purchase a 34th Portuguese Football League commemorative watch.This ticketing solution has already been successfully tested at official Benfica matches during the latest SL Benfica-FC Porto derby.

This pioneering launch further reinforces Vodafone’s leadership in innovation in its television service, which is consistently recognised as the service with the highest satisfaction and recommendation ratings (Marktest Telecommunications Barometer).According to ANACOM figures, Vodafone is the operator with the fastest growing television service in Portugal, recognition of the significant investment it has made in this area.
