Telecel appoints a new CFO
Lisbon, 30 June 2000 Mr. Paul Roberti has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer of Telecel. He will take up the position from 1 July 2000.
Mr Roberti will replace Mr. Nuno Silvério Marques who are stepping down for personal reasons. Mr. Nuno Silvério Marques was one of the Telecel’s first employees and has been CFO since the Company was founded in 1991.
The new CFO, Mr. Paul Roberti, comes from Vodafone AirTouch Plc, Telecel’s majority shareholder, and previously worked as CFO for ClickGSM, a mobile operator in Egypt and for PrimoCo Personal Communications in Dallas, USA, as Director of Planning and Analysis.
Mr. António Carrapatoso, Telecel’s Chairman of the Management Board and CEO, said “Mr. Nuno Silvério Marques has made an important contribution to the success achieved by Telecel.
