Paulo Rodrigues da Silva is appointed Telecel new Vice President
Lisbon, 14 September 2000 Telecel, a leading provider of telecommunications in Portugal, has appointed Paulo Rodrigues da Silva as their new Vice-President for Technology and Customer Support. His direct responsibilities will be Customer Services, Information Systems, New Business Development, Internet and Quality.
Paulo Rodrigues da Silva was previously a member of the board at BPI bank, where he was responsible for their finance information systems and Internet activities. Whilst at BPI one of his biggest achievements was the traditional BPI systems merger and transformation as well as the implementation of Internet and Intranet solutions. Prior to BPI, Paulo Rodrigues da Silva was a consultant at McKinsey in Lisbon and taught at the Universidade Católica and at INSEAD, Fontainebleu, where he gained his MBA.
Telecel’s board is now comprised of Mr. António Carrapatoso (Chairman and CEO), Mr. António Coimbra (Vice-President, Marketing and Sales), Mr. Ian Johnson (Vice-President and CTO), Mr. Paul Roberti (Vice-President and CFO) and Mr. Paulo Rodrigues da Silva (Vice-President, Technology and Customer Support).
