Telecel Vodafone – toq 1091 Indirect Access Service offers even more competitive rates
Lisbon, 21 February 2001 Telecel Vodafone’s toq 1091 indirect access service is tomorrow releasing its proposed new tariff structure, which will continue to offer the lowest rates on the market. The toq 1091 tariff structure is the only one on the market that is distinctly cheaper than PT’s for any type of call. In addition, taking advantage of the possibilities opened up by the liberalisation of this service, the new tariff structure introduces a new system of categories for national calls which offers significant benefits to customers.
The toq 1091 indirect fixed access service will now offer two separate plans: toq zero (exclusive to Telecel Vodafone’s mobile network customers, and without any monthly commitment) and toq 1500 (which involves purchasing 1,500 PTE worth of calls a month, plus VAT, for a minimum of 6 months).
Additionally, a new system of categories for national calls is proposed. Under this system, national calls to the fixed network will be categorised as follows:
Short-distance calls – calls to the same area code
Medium-distance calls – calls to adjacent area codes
Long-distance calls – other calls to the fixed network
This system of call categories for the toq 1091 indirect fixed access service is both clearer and cheaper for the customer. It is clearer because the customer always knows how much he will pay per minute, and cheaper because he will be able to make short-distance calls via the toq network which would be charged as regional calls by the incumbent operator. Allied to lower rates, this new system of call categories will make Telecel Vodafone’s toq 1091 service an even better deal for the user.
In order to use toq 1091 and take advantage of the benefits it offers, the customer calling from a fixed phone can either prefix the desired number with the code 1091 on each separate call or, more conveniently, use the pre-selection option allowing him to dial the desired number without the prefix code, and the call will be automatically routed via Telecel Vodafone. Customers who select toq 1091 operator pre-selection for national calls will now have their local and regional calls automatically routed via the Telecel Vodafone network, as well as their national calls of over 50 km.
