Telecel Vodafone chooses Ericsson and Nortel for its UMTS mobile services infraestructure
Ericsson and Nortel are the telecommunications equipment suppliers selected by Telecel Vodafone for its UMTS mobile services infrastructure.
Radio and Core network equipment provision shall be shared between the two companies.
Ericsson and Nortel are two of the largest and most experienced suppliers of telecommunications equipment in the world. The selection of these two suppliers provides Telecel Vodafone and its Customers with the best possible guarantee of the quality and innovation of the new UMTS service.
The final Supply Contracts with both companies, which will materialise the intention letters signed, are expected to be concluded until the end of this month.
