Vodafone launches new netbook, the Dell Mini 9 with integrated 3G card
Lisbon, 27 November 2008 Vodafone has today launched on the Portuguese market the new Dell Mini 9, the first netbook with integrated 3G card.
Apart from the internal 3G card, which permits download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and upload speeds of up to 1.4Mbps, the Dell Mini 9 boasts an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor, an 8 GB SSD hard disk (the latest generation disk, without moving parts, faster, more shock resistant and consuming less energy), 1 GB of RAM, Microsoft Windows XP in Portuguese and a 9 display.
The characteristics of this new netbook make the Dell Mini 9 the ideal solution for checking e-mail, updating blogs, chatting with friends, updating and sharing photos or simply web browsing, anywhere, any time.
The Dell Mini 9 is on sale from today exclusively at Vodafone sales outlets and its online shop at www.vodafone.pt, for 359.90.
The Mobile Broadband service is available in both postpaid and prepaid versions at speeds of up to 7.2Mbps, from 22.31 a month or with top-ups from 10.
Vodafone business customers can buy the Dell Mini 9 for 20 with 20 of calls as part of the 3G Broadband Laptop Corporate Offer, with monthly charges from 25 on a 36-month contract.
After being the first Portuguese operator to market an ultra-portable, ultra-compact laptop, Vodafone continues to innovate by introducing to this market the first netbook with integrated 3G card in this segment, offering customers of the Mobile Broadband service the best equipment and the best service over the best network.
