Lisbon, 17 April 2008 Vodafone is to broadcast the concert to launch the new Madonna album, live and exclusively, on its Mobile TV service and on www.vodafone.pt. The concert takes place on 30 April, in the Roseland Ballroom, New York, in the presence of an extremely select audience where special guests will also take to the stage.
Vodafone Portugal is giving the chance for one of its Customers, and a companion, to attend this unprecedented event. From today onwards, all Vodafone Customers who download music by Madonna from the Vodafone live! portal (RingTone, RingDing, Complete Track or Video) by 23 April will enter a draw to be part of the audience at this unique concert, where spectators will hear tracks from the new Madonna album sung live for the first time, in New York.
After the exclusive pre-launch of the new single 4 Minutes on Vodafone mobile phones from 21 April, Vodafone Customers will again be the first to hear Madonnas new songs on their mobile phone. This time Vodafone will make one track available per day for 7 days, taken from the new album by the artist Hard Candy which only goes on sale on 28 April. Each track will only be available for 24 hours before being replaced by the next song, available only to Vodafone Customers.
This launch is part of Vodafones strategy to provide a wide range of multimedia content to its Customers, through the Vodafone live! portal.
The promotional campaign behind the new Madonna album, carried out in partnership by Vodafone and Warner Music, will begin on 21 April and will involve Television, Radio, Internet, Billboards and the Press. Billboards will be placed in several sites around Lisbon and Porto that allow the new Madonna single 4 Minutes to be listened to in loco.
