Lisbon, 6 January 2010 – Vodafone is reinforcing its position as the leading operator offering BlackBerry® solutions to its customers by launching today two new smartphones in Portugal: the BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700 and the BlackBerry® Storm2™.

The new BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone has an extensive array of high-end communications and multimedia features in a compact and highly refined design, and it’s already available to Vodafone customers. The BlackBerry Storm2 evolves the BlackBerry® touch-screen platform with new technology and new features to let customers stay easily connected to the people, places and things that matter most.

From today Vodafone Portugal is also offering an exclusive “2 1” campaign to BlackBerry smartphone customers. Any customer that buys any two BlackBerry smartphones will receive an additional BlackBerry Curve 8520 free of charge. The terms of this campaign are available at www.vodafone.pt.

Customers can access BlackBerry App World™, which features a broad and growing catalog of mobile applications developed specifically for BlackBerry® smartphones. Categories include games, entertainment, IM and social networking, news, weather, productivity and more.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone offers top-of-the-line performance, functionality and features with support for 3G networks around the world, a next-generation (624 MHz) processor, 256 MB Flash memory, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi®, a 3.2MP camera and a sharp, dazzling display. The new BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone is available to Vodafone customers from tomorrow in the online store at www.vodafone.pt or can be purchased at Vodafone shops for 424.90 euros or from 304.90 euros with a Vodafone Pro plan and a 24-month contract. To benefit even more fully from the potential of this phone, customers can add the Mobile Internet Add-on to their price plan which includes 250 MB of Internet traffic per month for only 10 euros a month.

The BlackBerry Storm2 smartphone will be available to corporate customers from tomorrow and at Vodafone shops and online store at www.vodafone.pt from January 12th. It can be purchased for 439.90 euros or from 319.90 euros with a Vodafone Pro plan and a 24-month contract. Customers can also add the Mobile Internet Add-on to their price plan to operate the equipment in all its fullness and with the best commercial conditions.
