Vodafone launches Samsung Galaxy Tab, the first tablet on sale in Portugal
Lisbon, 18 October 2010 Vodafone tomorrow launches the new Samsung Galaxy Tab the first tablet on sale in Portugal making it the first operator in the country to sell the new smart media device from Samsung.
With its Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, 7-inch 1024×600 resolution screen, full web browsing experience (browser with Flash 10.1 and HMTL5 support), front and rear camera, GPS, e-mail client compatible with all systems, 16GB/32GB internal memory and up to 32GB external memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is one of the most complete and innovative tablets on the market.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab can be purchased for 614.90 (16 GB version) or 714.90 (32 GB version) from Vodafone stores, with a 10 discount in the online shop, and there will be special terms for Vodafone customers through its Clube Viva. It will also be available to businesses and professionals who will benefit from business tariff incentives under a 24-month contract.
Accompanying the introduction of the new tablet, Vodafone Portugal is launching two new Mobile Broadband price plans especially for tablet use Best Net Tab Base and Plus, with monthly charges from 14.99. In addition to the Mobile Broadband service, these price plans also cover outbound and inbound calls and video calls and sending and receiving SMS and MMS.
