Lisbon, 13 September 2010 – Vodafone Portugal has launched an innovative range of Security, Email, Hosting, Domain and Website Creation solutions custom-designed for professionals and businesses called Vodafone Web Tools, extending its offer for the corporate segment and complementing its existing Fixed and Mobile Broadband products.

Designed to meet a growing need in the Portuguese market, Vodafone Web Tools offer a wide range of services for professionals and businesses, for which Vodafone has assembled the best partners in each of the solutions on offer.

The E-mail service offers two separate options (Basic and Professional), both with Anti-spam and Anti-virus included. With the Professional E-mail service, the customer gets access to collaboration tools such as shared calendaring, contacts and files. It is also possible to send emails with large attachments – up to 25 MB or 100 MB, depending on the E-mail service contracted. In addition to the usual access from any e-mail client, a new webmail interface accessible from anywhere with an Internet connection is also provided.

The new Hosting and Domain solutions facilitate the creation of websites, blogs and online shops, among many other options, and also provide visitor and usage statistics. There is also the opportunity to create personalised websites with an exclusive image and unique design, and ensure that they appear in the major search engines worldwide.

In the area of security solutions, Vodafone PC Protection protects the business’s computers from Internet threats and viruses, while Backup and Restore, launched by Vodafone at the end of last year, allows users to make backup copies of files and later restore them on the same computer or another PC in the event of a fault or data loss.

Self Care and Management areas have also been created on Vodafone Portugal’s website where the customer can set up the various services independently and without waiting. The Self Care area for the Email, Hosting and Domain services allows users to access a variety of settings ranging from mailbox and anti-spam management to website management and maintenance in a simple and immediate way using the latest technologies available on the market.
