Vodafone to install bridge across Avenida da Liberdade for Vodafone Mexefest
Lisbon, 23 November 2011 Vodafone Portugal is building a bridge across Avenida da Liberdade to connect the Tivoli Theatre to the São Jorge Cinema and facilitate access by the public to the venues for the Vodafone Mexefest which takes place on 2-3 December in Lisbon. This footbridge will simplify movement between the venues where the concerts of what is the most eagerly anticipated winter festival in Lisbon will take place.
This year the festival area around the Avenida da Liberdade is larger and the inclusion of new venues has allowed the event to expand beyond the usual locations. Joining the venues already announced is another curated by FM Vodafone, strategically located next to the Coliseu dos Recreios in Rua das Portas de Santo Antão, where interviews in front of live audiences, DJ sets and showcases of artists such as Samuel Úria, Salto!, Capitães da Areia and Julie & the Carjackers will take place. Assisting with movement between the festival venues will be Vodafone Shuttles and the Vodafone Bus, where music will also not be lacking.
Also part of the unique experiences that Vodafone will provide to fans of this festival is the A Banda Mais Bonita da Cidade private concert for the winners of the Vodafone 5 Stars competition who, apart from the concert, will win a hotel stay in a double room on the weekend of the festival. This initiative is joined by Vodafone All Access: in this competition that runs until 30 November at www.vodafonemexefest.com, double passes are being given away with guaranteed entry to all venues, even if they are sold out, to the first two visitors each day who identify a festival venue from detailed photographs.
To enhance the whole festival experience, the Vodafone Mexefest App (for iPhone and Android) is available, with integration with Facebook, which allows users to check the main news and highlighted events, filter the concert listing by date, venue and artist, create a personalized schedule of concerts and share it, access useful information about the festival, including the location and capacity of the venues in real time, view comments on the various concerts, share photos and check the location of the Vodafone Bus, among other features.
Tickets for this remarkable edition of Vodafone Mexefest that will see the public moving from stage to stage during the two-day festival cost 40 euros and give access to all the concerts in all venues.
