Vodafone is the first operator to sell the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – the first tablet with Android 3.0 in Portugal
Lisbon, 23 February 2011 Vodafone is set to launch, exclusively in Portugal, the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the first tablet with Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) – the operating system designed by Google specifically for the new 10-inch tablets.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was presented a few days ago at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and will reach Portugal in an exclusive Vodafone launch during March at a price of 699.90. It will also be available on special terms for professional, corporate and personal customers under the Club Viva scheme.
Weighing only 599g and just 10.9 mm thick, this new tablet is one of the lightest and thinnest on the market, making it the perfect device for use on the move anywhere. The 10-inch screen, surround-sound dual speakers, Tegra 2 1GHz dual core processor and 8.0 megapixel camera offer the user an excellent multimedia experience. Always-on connectivity is ensured by a 3G HSPA 21.6 Mbps modem and a Wi-Fi b/g/n modem.
After becoming the first operator to market this new type of smart media device in Portugal with the launch in October 2010 of the Samsung Galaxy Tab the first tablet on sale in Portugal Vodafone is reinforcing its leadership in this segment by providing its customers with one of the most comprehensive and innovative tablets on the market.
